Communicating needs of the community is a touchy process. While someone is crying out in desperation, public services and private organizations are busy positioning themselves politically and socially to protect themselves from the ambitious and litigious. Meanwhile, a single mother with 3 kids is trying to keep her electric from being cut off and a pregnant teen is deciding between abortion or suicide. Assisting with either of these circumstances will not cure the problem, but will only address the symptom. The source of the problem goes much deeper, but the source is not necessarily a societal issue. There is no “magic pill” like many baby boomers experimented with in the 60s & 70s, but there are solutions and our community has discovered the source of this remarkable solution.
